TEHRAN, Sep. 20 (MNA) – Reacting to US president's hostile remarks on JCPOA, Iran’s security chief Ali Shamkhani said such remarks indicate Trump's flawed understanding of international agreements.

In an interview concerning the US President and Israeli prime minister's speeches at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on Tue., Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, said such remarks reflect Trump’s warmongering, aggressive an anti-peace spirit.

Shamkhani went on to add that the International Atomic Energy Agency has verified Iran’s full commitment to JCPOA on seven occasions and any accusation made by the opposing side aimed at deceiving public opinion is invalid and without value.

The Iranian official pointed out that “Trump’s mind is still preoccupied with the pre-election atmosphere as if he is trying to win votes by verbally attacking his opponents. His councils need to remind him that such histrionic behavior has no impact on the will of other countries.”

Shamkhani further emphasized the determination and strong will of Iran to advocate its legal rights, adding “none of the signatories to the nuclear deal have the right to violate the agreement under baseless and illegal pretexts.”
