TEHRAN, Sep. 15 (MNA) – Iran’s senior MP said the Supervisory Committee of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will soon respond firmly to the recent action by the US.

Head of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks on Friday on the sidelines of Aero Iran, the first International Exhibition of Aeronautics, Airport, Aviation Aerospace Industry, Technologies, Equipment and Services.

Referring to recent action of the US president in approving the Congress bill on applying new anti-Iran sanctions and prohibition sales of new aircraft to the country, he emphasized “the issue reveals a contradiction between text and spirit of the JCPOA, the Iranian Parliament and government give a firm response to the breach of promise through the Supervisory Committee."

“In at least two parts of the JCPOA, once in the text and once in the attachment, it has been emphasized that passenger planes can be sold without any restrictions,” he continued.

The official went on to note that, of course, the ongoing exhibition in Tehran marks the best response to America’s House of Representatives, for it reflects reliance on national capabilities gained through sanction year; “despite the US plan to hold Iran back through sanctions, we were able to proceed and make progress thanks to knowledge of prominent experts of the country in all private and state sectors."

He stressed that a nation capable of land the American super-UAV and make a copy of that through reverse engineering over the course of four years will never lag behind as a result of cruel sanctions.
