TEHRAN, Sep. 14 (MNA) – Emphasizing coordinated opposition to Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s independence referendum the Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces and his Turkish counterpart in a phone conversation discussed the dangerous consequences of such separatist plans.

General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces announced that Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Commander of Turkish Armed Forces Gen. Hulusi Akar discussed the various fields of the joint cooperation of the countries armed forces.

In this talk both sides emphasized the significance of boosting ties and referring to Iraqi Kurdistan region’s decision to hold independence referendum, they warned about its dangerous consequences for the security and stability of the regional countries including Iran and Turkey.

touching on the importance of coordinated acts of the Iraq’s neighbors to prevent implementation of separatist measures, they reiterated that such separatist plans may creates various social, political and security troubles for the people of the region.
