Addressing a conference attended by commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces in Mashhad, IRGC Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari underlined that Iran's air, ground and sea missile power was growing rapidly.
He went on to note that missile power of Iran was non-negotiable and IRGC would defend it. The official described the country’s missile power as important in creating deterrence power.
Jafari underscored that the precision-guided missiles used in the IRGC's latest strike on ISIL positions in Syria were developing quantitatively.
“Islamic Revolution's domain of influence is quite vast today and is parallel to US interests in most parts of the world; Iran is a power in the region today and in case Americans attempt to continue imposing sanctions on the IRGC and defense issues of Iran, they will be forced to remove all their regional military bases up to 1000 km far away,” IRGC commander stressed.
He referred to the enemy's fresh sanctions against the IRGC as attempts to cause disunity among Iranian people and damage national interests; “the great nation of Iran has prepared itself to stand in the face of pressures caused by US sanctions,” he continued.
Iranians are presently well aware of US plots in Iran nuclear deal called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and they are waiting for proper reaction on the part of Iranian diplomats.
Jafari, while highlighting that the message of the revolutionary and punishing move was totally clear, said “IRGC is issuing the warning to Takfiri terrorists and their regional and trans-regional supporters that if the evil and iniquitous measures against the Iranian nation are repeated, the revolutionary anger and flames of the IRGC’s revenge will engulf the perpetrators and lead the criminals to hell.”
During a recent operation by IRGC, a number of surface-to-surface mid-range missiles targeted Takfiri terrorists from IRGC's bases in Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces in the west of Iran.
