TEHRAN, Jul. 18 (MNA) – Two Iranian archers will take part at compound division of 2017 World Games to be held in Wroclaw of Poland.

The World Games 2017 is a multi-sport event that will be held in Wroclaw, Poland from July 20 to July 30, 2017, with 27 official sports and 4 invitational sports featured in the Games.

The event included non-Olympic sports and is heled once every four years following the Olympic Games. Iran’s compound team managed to book to berths at World Games by participating in 2017 Asia Cup in Thailand.

Accordingly, Iran’s hopes are pinned on Esmaeil Ebadi and Parisa Baratchi who are slated to depart for the European country on July 27.

The first edition of World Games was hosted by California of the US in 1981. The tenth edition of the international sportive tournament will take place in Poland with nearly 4,000 athletes from 100 countries in attendance.

In the archery section, every country can earn to tickets in individual men’s and women’s events. Iran managed to secure both places for the 2017 World Games.
