The event took place in Confederation of Entrepreneurship office in Baku where venues were sought for reinvigoration of bilateral relations among entrepreneurs in various economic arenas like agriculture sector and food production.
Fuad Hamtov, Undersecretary General of the Confederation, referred to significant growth in economic transactions between Azerbaijan Republic and Iran saying, “very many capacities exist between the two parties to strengthen ties between private sectors.”
“Entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan Republic possess excellent experiences of making presence in markets of countries like Russia, Ukraine and Belarus and given to good quality and price of Iranian merchandizes, activists of the two sides can make an effective presence in these markets through expansion of cooperation,” he continued.
Also at the meeting, Ali Asghar Aliakbari, Chairman of Board of Directors of the Chamber of Cooperative of West Azarbaijan province, described the visit of the Iranian delegation to Baku as a major step towards reinvigoration of relations.
The official stressed that holding exhibitions by Iranian and Azeri companies in both countries could familiarize businessmen with production potentials in different economic sectors.
Other issues dealt with at the meeting were venues to cooperate in establishment of joint production units in agriculture and food products, active participation in markets in southern regions of Russia, Georgia, Ukraine and other neighboring states.
During the three-day visit to Azaebaijan Republic, the Iranian delegation also visited Nakhchivan and discussed ways of cooperation with relevant parties there.
