Speaking among reporters upon his arrival in Seoul on Monday, Larijani said the Summit is an initiative started since a year ago and Iran has played a very active role in the launch of the event.
“The heads of the Asian parliamens and part of Europe are pursuing cooperation to develop and resolve the regional issues,” Larijani noted.
He added that given the conditions that exist in the international arena, such institutions and organizations that can be expanded and go beyond the continent, can contribute to sustainable security issues in the region and the development of economic relations of countries.
With regard to economic investment, the use of energy and security issues that have involved the region, he noted, necessary issues will be raised at this meeting and we hope to form a statute which could more actively deal with Eurasian issues.
Larijnai, accompanied by a number of MPs, left Iran for South Korea to take part in the 2nd annual Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments in Seoul from Monday through Wednesday.
Parliamentary leaders from 25 Asian and European countries gather in Seoul for a three-day conference on cooperation for Eurasian prosperity.
