TEHRAN, Apr. 09 (MNA) – The 35th edition of Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) will be screening a number of fully restored classics from A-list directors.

In keeping with festival tradition, the program will be celebrating recently restored cinematic gems and revitalized classics from Marcel Carné (Daybreak, 1939), Akira Kurosawa (Ran, 1985), Robert Bresson (Pickpocket, 1959), Buster Keaton(Steamboat Bill Jr., 1928), Leopold Lindtberg (The Last Chance, 1945), Aleksandr Sokurov (The Lonely Voice of Man, 1987) and Charles Chaplin (City Lights, 1931). 

The program will also screen three recently restored movies by Iranian directors Sohrab Shahid Sales (A Simple Event, 1973), Nasser Taghvai (Captain Khorshid, 1987), and Jalal Moqaddam (God’s House, 1966).

Presided over by Reza Mirkarimi, the 35th edition of Fajr International Film Festival will take place from 21 to 28 April in Tehran.
