TEHRAN, Apr. 04 (MNA) – IDRO head has announced that a contract will be signed with France’s Renault Group car manufacturer.

“Early into the new Persian calendar year (began March 21), a deal to purchase helicopters was sealed with Russians,” stated Managing Director of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) Mansour Moazemi recalling the issue had been pursued for several years.

The official said another issue in the previous year was the Renault contract though it failed to yield results due to prolonged negotiations.

Nevertheless, a contract will be signed with the French manufacturer within two working weeks,” Moazemi continued.

Deputy minister of industry, mine and trade, while stating that incomplete projects of the previous year will be accomplished in the present year asserting “the Leader of Islamic Revolution has named the new year as ‘Year of Production and Employment’ which marks a huge task for IDRO and needs to be fulfilled.

“South Pars Phases 17 and 18 will soon come on stream, Phase 14 has become activated providing job opportunities for 6500 work forces,” he concluded.
