DAMASCUS, Mar. 11 (MNA) – Syria held Turkey responsible for supporting terrorism, which killed tens of thousands of innocent people and destroyed Syria’s infrastructure upon direct instructions from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his security apparatus.

That came in two letters sent Friday by Foreign and Expatriates Ministry to the UN Secretary General and President of Security Council on the Turkish forces’ continued attacks on the sovereignty of the Syrian territories.

The Syrian government demanded the UN Chief, the Security Council and the international community to oblige Turkey to withdraw its invading forces, stop the attacks and to maintain security and stability in the region and the world.

The Ministry’s letters said that the blind Turkish polices are represented by invading more Syrian territory and killing more Syrian citizens by the Turkish army in al-Boihij, al-Boghaz, al-Amiana and the 543 Height, noting that on March 9, the Turkish forces that exist illegally in the Syrian territory opened artillery fires and fired rockets on sites affiliated to the Syrian Arab Army and the supporting forces nearby Manbij city in the countryside of Aleppo.

The Ministry added that this Turkish shelling which targeted the points of border guards claimed the lives of a number of persons and wounded many others.

The Ministry concluded its letters by saying that any attempt to cover the Turkish blatant attacks on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will keep the flames erupted in the area in the interest of the terrorist groups and those who stand behind them such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
