TEHRAN, Mar. 05 (MNA) – Iran's Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) has signed three MoUs with top-tier Malaysian universities to facilitate interactions and further its international reach.

The three memoranda of understanding were signed with University of Technology of Malaysia (UTM), MARA University of Technology (UiTMM), and University of Science (USM).

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) currently ranks 288th in the world according to QS Stars, while USM ranks 330th and UiTM ranks +701.

The MoUs were signed by ISC President Mohammad Javad Dehghani and rectors of these three Malaysian universities on the sidelines of a series of ISC workshops held on 27 February until 2 March in Malaysia.

Under the agreements, the three Malaysian universities are now a member of the ISC and will have all their seminars, conferences, published articles and other scientific productions registered and indexed in the database.

Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC), based in Shiraz, is a citation index established by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology to index journals from the Islamic world. In 2009, ISC partnered with Scopus that allows ISC's publications to be indexed in Scopus.
