Offering a thrilling performance, Iran’s squad managed to gain the upper hand in all four quarters against China and secured a 75-21 win overall.
The country’s para basketball outfit had previously downed host Thailand, India and Australia and remains undefeated so far in the competitions.
On Thursday January 26, Iran is slated to take on Japan in their last group stage encounter.
Six countries are participating in the championship, which started on Monday in Bangkok, Thailand and will run through Saturday January 28.
The present teams from across the Zone are competing for three spots at the U23 World Championships in Toronto, Canada in June include Thailand, Iran, Australia, China, India and Japan.
The Iranian team comprises Amirreza Ahmadi, Mahdi Mazloum, Mahdi Mandegar, Ali Karimi, Mojtaba Kamali, Mohammad Sayari, Homayoun Asgari, Mahdi Abbasi, Peyman Mizan, Hassanali Kabi, Seyed Mahdi Mousavi as well as Reza Eyvazi.
