TEHRAN, Jan. 25 (MNA) – Deputy oil minister said NIOC will invite a tender for expansion of South Azadegan oil field in near future.

Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said new international firms could be added to the vendor list of potential developers for NIOC projects explaining “as a global standard, vendor lists can be updated after credentials and qualifications of new companies are evaluated.”

He further underlined that no all the companied included in the are expected to take part in South Azadegan tender and qualification of potential developers in the project needs to be taken into account.

Kardor maintained that preparation of the draft of new oil deals was 90% through; “the documents would be most likely ready in following weeks.”

He also expressed hope that a deal for developing phase 11 of the supergiant South Pars joint gas field will be sealed by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (to end March 20) or early into the coming year.

“Studies for developing phase 11 of the South Pars gas field have concluded and tender documents for sideline projects have been prepared. “

The oil official recalled that results of some studies which were conducted as part of confidentiality agreements and several MoUs inked with foreign firms had been handed over to NIOC.
