TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (MNA) – Head of Antalya Chamber of Commerce voiced readiness of Turkish traders and economic activists to make investment in agriculture and tourism sectors of Iran’s Alborz province.

Davut Çetin made the remarks during a joint session between trade delegations of Alborz province of Iran as well as Turkish resort city of Antalya.

“In addition to a high capacity in tourism industry, Antalya enjoys excellent capabilities in other a number of other sectors like greenhouse systems, agriculture industries, shipbuilding as well as mining,” he continued.

The visiting official went on to note that his province produced over 6.5 million tons of fruit and vegetables per year.

He referred to potentials and successful activities of Turkey, Antalya in particular, in tourism industry saying “we are ready to hold training courses in tourism and hospitality areas.”

Çetin went on to underlined that Turkey has conducted activities in construction of chained-brand hotels in Tabriz and said plans were being made to carry out similar measures in Alborz province.

The official, while emphasizing that private sector and commerce chambers of both countries could bring about a substantial development in bilateral ties, said the previous year’s trip of the Turkish delegation to Iran paved the path to gather appropriate information on future cooperation.

“Today, we have brought a strong economic delegation to Alborz in order to launch further business interactions with more accurate knowledge of relations between the two countries.”

Davut Çetin underscored that the visiting delegation was eager to investigate potentials for partnership and to further bolster cooperation with Iranian companies.
