TEHRAN, Jan. 08 (MNA) – A freestyle wrestling roster has been released for Grand Prix Ivan Yariguin international tournament to be held in Russia on January 27-29.

The sportive event will kick off on January 27 in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk and will run through January 29.

Grand Prix Ivan Yariguin Senior IT (FS & FW) will be organized by the Wrestling Federation of Russia and the Ivan Yariguin Charity Foundation.

Given that Mazandaran wrestling outfit won the trophy in national competitions, top wrestlers of the provincial team will be deployed to the Russian tournament.

The names of the selected senior Iranian freestyle athletes are as follow:

57kg: Reza Atri

61kg: Iman Sadeghi

65kg: Mohammad Mahdi Yeganeh Jafari

86kg: Mohammad Javad Ebrahimi and Kamran Ghasempour

97kg: Hossein Ramezanian

125kg: Jaber Sadeghzadeh

The Iranian squad will be led by Seyed Mostafa Miremadian and Aziz Vagozari as coaches as well as Gholamreza Nourizadeh as caretaker.

Ivan Yariguin competitions will be held subject to the Regulations of United World Wrestling (UWW) in 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 86, 97 and 125 kg weight categories for men with a tolerance of 2 kilograms.

The Organizers guarantee to provide the cash prize fund as well as the special prizes. The winners will be awarded with Ivan Yariguin Cup, gold medal and diploma. The prize winners are awarded with medals and diplomas.
