In a meeting with German Ambassador to Tehran Michael Klor-Berchtold to receive his copy of credentials, President Rouhani stressed the importance of Tehran-Berlin relations, hoping the two would witness deepening cooperation in future.
He called Germany Iran's first trade partner in Europe which has always been a country with traditionally good relations with Iran in Europe.
He underlined that Tehran welcomes deepening ties with Berlin noting Germany's positive role during nuclear talks.
"The cooperation between Iran and Germany has been increasing after the implementation of JCPOA and removal of barriers," he underlined.
He highly regarded taking big strides to achieve the ideal point in bilateral ties and to facilitate insurance and banking relationships.
German ambassador, for his part, stressed Berlin's will to boost ties with Tehran in the field of new technologies.
Germany is firmly committed to full implementation of JCPOA, he said, adding the country will use all its potentials to make the full implementation of the agreement possible by the other countries, as well.
In a seperate meeting with Romanian Ambassador to Tehran Adrian Kozjacski to receive his copy of credentials, Rouhani also underlined that the Islamic Republic welcomes expansion of cooperation with European Union, including Romania, in al-out fields.
Rouhani underlined that Iran and Romania enjoy plenty of capacities to strengthen cooperative partnerships.
He underlined that Romania can be considered to be Iran's gateway into Europe via the Black Sea and the Islamic Republic, in return, can facilitate Romania's access to Asia and the Middle East.
Pointing to Iran-Romania Joint Economic Commission to be held in Bucharest in the near future, Rouhani said the private sectors of the two countries have enormous capacity for cooperation and can play a role in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Adrian Kozjacski, for his part, announced his country's willingness to expand ties with the Islamic Republic, saying "Iran and Romania enjoy high amount of opportunities for cooperation to deepen bilateral relations."
He asked for boosting cultural, scientific and academic ties between the two countries.
