YEREVAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia signed five cooperation documents and memoranda of understanding in the presence of President Rouhani and President Sargsyan.

The memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries in the presence of President Rouhani and President Sargsyan include: an agreement on jointly using Nurduz-Meghri border gate, cooperation in the field of emergency situations, cooperation on tourism, an MoU regarding expansion of cooperation between the two countries’ museums, as well as one aiming at further developing cooperation in the field of youth and sports.

President Rouhani arrived in Armenia today as the first leg of his three-nation Eurasian tour aimed at strengthen ties and deepen cooperation with neighboring and regional countries. Rouhani will then depart for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to hold talks with the respective presidents and sign documents for boosting bilateral cooperation.
