TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said the Islamic Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina hold common views on solving regional issues.

Larijani made the remarks in a joint press conference with visiting Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Safet Softić on Tuesday.

He underlined that Iran has always supported Bosnia's territorial integrity and unity among its different races.

Pointing to the recent visit of Bakir Izetbegovic, the Head of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidential Council, to Iran, Larijani underlined Bosnia's determination to raise the level of bilateral relations in political, cultural and economic fields with Iran.

Larijani said the two countries examined the ways to expand economic ties, remove obstacles, develop parliamentary relations and take advantage of bilateral capacities in the meeting held on Tuesday morning.

He said the two countries hold common views regarding the settlement of regional issues and "we hope the ties be further developed in the future and to see positive results."

Safet Softić, for his part, hailed Iran's significant aids to the Bosnian country saying Bakir Izetbegovic's visit to Iran and today's visit of the parliamentary delegation of Bosnia develops a framework for the expansion of bilateral economic, scientific and political activities.
