President of World Archery and an International Olympic Committee Vice President Prof Dr Ugur Erdener will make a two-day visit to Iran in order to make presence at Iran Archery Federation and observe its equipment and facilities.
Accordingly, Erdener will land in Tehran on Tuesday in time with the national cadet and junior archery tournament to be attended by the World Archery president as a special guest.
Ugur Erdener is also slated to attend separate meetings with Iranian Minister of Sports and Youth Massoud Soltanifar as well as President of National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran: Kioumars Hashemi.
Prof Dr Ugur Erdener is President of World Archery, an International Olympic Committee Vice President and Chair of its Medical and Sports Science Commission, and a widely-respected physician.
He was elected to the World Archery Presidency in 2005 and has presided over a period of unparalleled growth for the sport within the Olympic Movement and around the world.
World Archery’s headquarters are situated in Maison du Sport International in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne, Switzerland, close to the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee and a host of other international federations and sports organisations.
