TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) – A cooperation agreement has been sealed between Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) and Indonesia Eximbank.

The accord was signed by Ali Salehabadi, Managing Director of the Export Development Bank of Iran, and Ngalim Sawega, Chairman & Executive Director of Indonesia Eximbank.

During the MoU signing ceremony, both sides emphasized the need to investigate venues for development of cooperation and expansion of bilateral banking ties.

The deal pursued several aims including exchange of experience and collaboration in line with mutual interest as well as transfer of information in economic, financial and investment arenas.

Additionally, both parties agreed to present necessary information on their new and ongoing projects to the other side.

Founded on November 24, 1991, the Export Development Bank of Iran plays a leading role in providing financial facilities as well as other banking and advisory services to Iranian exporters and their foreign clients. The Bank mainly focuses on the promotion of non-oil exports.

Indonesia Eximbank also plays an important role in improving the economy of Indonesia, encouraging national export performance, improving the competitiveness of export business operators as mandated.
