TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (MNA) – 264 Parliamentarian have signed a statement calling the government to implement Islamic Republic of Iran Government's Reciprocal and Proportional Action in Implementing the JCPOA Act.

State news agency IRNA reported that Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani a Member of Parliament Presiding Board read aloud the statement as closing section of the Sunday open session. The statement condemned the US Congress act in epic terms; “US Congress has embarked on an action to extend cruel sanctions against great nation of Iran which undermines the very spirit of the JCPOA, while the US officials have provided assurances that they would respect the deal in many occasions,” said the statement, “we, Parliamentarians and deputies of the nation deem the Congress action as the culmination of the lack of US officials in their commitment to international obligations they signed, and the Parliament-enacted Government's Reciprocal and Proportional Action in Implementing the JCPOA Act defines necessary options for government whenever a party violates the deal, call the government to implement the Act immediately, especially Articles 3 and 7, and to report the results to the Parliament,” it demanded.

The statement also urged ‘swift implementation of the Act,’ with Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission acting as ‘overseeing the implementation’ and inform the Parliament about its progress.
