TEHRAN, Dec. 02 (MNA) – A number of MPs will present a bill with “triple urgency” on Sun., requiring the Government to resume all nuclear activities if Iran Sanction Act (ISA) is passed into law by the White House.

Following a 10-year extension of sanctions against Iran that was passed overwhelmingly by the US Senate on Thursday just weeks after the House passed it 419-1, a number of Iranian members of parliament have drafted a triple-urgency bill on resumption of all nuclear activities, to be presented to the Parliament on Sunday, 4 December.

Under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed between Iran and the 5+1 group pf countries, the Islamic Republic agreed to curb its nuclear activities and stayed committed to the implementation of all its agreements under the nuclear deal.

However, after about 11 months since the nuclear deal was put into effect, the other side has not complied with many of its commitments toward the lifting of nuclear sanctions against Iran.

A number of Iranian MPs believe that the renewal of Iran Sanction Act will render unnecessary the continuation of Iran’s commitment to curbing its nuclear activities and implementing the JCPOA.
