IRGC Public Relations Office told the official website Sepahnews on Thursday that the plane had crashed during a surveillance mission above Saravan Airport and the single pilot Ahmad Masaebi was killed.
Investigations into the matter is underway. IRGC has not provided further information about possible causes of the crash.
