BEIJING, Nov. 14 (MNA) – Iran's Minister of Road and Urban Development heading a high-ranking delegation has arrived in Chinese capital this morning to hold talks on expansion of ties.  

Iran's Minister of Road and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi was received by Iranian Ambassador to Beijing, Ali Asghar Khaji, upon his arrival at Beijing airport on Monday.

According to his announced schedule, Akhundi will meet with his Chinese counterpart in a few hours, and then pay a visit to a number of rail and road transport centers in the Chinese capital.

Meeting with Chinese deputy prime minister, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), senior officials of the China Exim Bank, as well as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) are also on the agenda of Akhoundi’s four-day visit.

The Iranian minister is also scheduled to attend a conference at Iran’s Embassy in China on Tuesday and address the senior managers of Chinese transport companies and Iranian businessmen living in China.

Akhoundi will also make a trip to Shanghai and visit the city's important centers and infrastructure companies active in the fields of urban development, and road, rail and air transport.
