TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (MNA) – International release of Iranian apocalyptic animation 'The Return', also rendered as ‘Sacred List,’ will begin in Lebanon.

International screening of The Return will kick off on November 10 in the presence of Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sports Abdul-Muttaleb Al-Hinawi.

The Arabic version of the Iranian animation with Arabic name "Al-Oudat" is scheduled to be premiered on November 8.

The animation relates the history of pre-Islamic Arabian Peninsula and its southern ridges in Yemen, where a local Jewish ruler, Zu-Nuas, had allegedly burnt an entire Christian community to discourage them from practicing their faith. It makes parallels with Mel Gibson’s Passion of Christ, which addressed a similar theme of executing Christians and its prophet.

The Return had won the plate of honor for the Best Animation Award during 34th Fajr Film Festival earlier in February.
