TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM Hossein Jaberi Ansari stressed Iran’s all-out support for Iraqi nation and government in the fight against terrorism.

Iranian Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari met with Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Nazar Khairallah in Baghdad on Sunday, where the two sides conferred on expansion of bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian highlighted the need for joint efforts by Iran and Iraq for finding solutions to the current crises and issues in the Middle East, as well as the significance of holding bilateral and multilateral meetings to achieve this goal.

The Iraqi diplomat, for his part, noted the common interests, threats and the strategic relations of Iran and Iraq, and thanked the Islamic Republic for its continued support to his country.

Khairallah maintained that combating terrorism is the first priority of Iraq, expressing hope that Tehran and Baghdad would further develop cooperation and consultations in all fields.

He also voiced Iraq’s readiness to improve bilateral relations and utilize Iran’s experiences in restoration and expansion of economic ties.

Hossein Jaberi-Ansari was accompanied by Head of the Judiciary Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani who led the Iranian delegation to Iraq to discuss with Iraqi judiciary officials bilateral ties and judiciary cooperation.
