TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (MNA) – Masoud Hatami’s ‘Survival’ has won Best Short Movie Editing Award, with Hamid Najafirad as its editor receiving the trophy.

The simple plot of ‘Survival,’ which is macabre enough and belies the expectations of the audience in finding themselves facing with possibilities of human survival in conditions unpalatable and eerie as practicing cannibalism: in the middle of nowhere, two people are living in a lake and they are using corpses to survive. The surreal experience in a lake is striking for the juries who unmistakably award Hatami’s short movie, this time for its editing efforts by Hamid Najafirad.

The non-profit cultural association “Domenico Oprandi Foundation” organizes the nineteenth edition of cortoLovere, the International Film Festival addressed to foreign and Italian filmmakers, film schools, specialized institutes, associations and companies that have produced short films.
