TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (MNA) – 'Malaria', directed by Parviz Shahbazi and produced by Masoud Radaei, won Grand Prix award at Warsaw Film Festival.

Malaria recounts the story of a young woman who elopes with her boyfriend to Tehran. To cover her tracks, she tells her father she’s been kidnapped. With her family in hot pursuit, the couple takes up with a band of bohemian street musicians and forms an elaborate plan for a more permanent escape.

Warsaw Film Festival is a major film festival held every October in Warsaw, Poland. The festival is host to the International Federation of Film Critics awards for enterprising filmmaking in Central Europe and beyond.

The Warsaw Film Festival (WFF) is organised by the Warsaw Film Foundation and its aim is to present the best films from all over the world to Polish and international audience, and to encourage better communication and understanding between people living in different countries and of different cultural backgrounds.
