“Officially invited by his Vietnamese counterpart, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, heading a senior delegation of officials will leave Tehran for the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi early on Wednesday,” said the Iranian Vice-President Parveez Esmaeeli to the local media on Tuesday.
President Rouhani and Trần Đại Quang, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will hold joint meetings to confer on the ways to expand bilateral ties.
Negotiations between the senior officials and delegations of the two countries, along with signing some documents of bilateral cooperation are also on the agenda of Mr. Rouhani’s visit to the SE Asian country.
“Concurrently a delegation from Iran’s private sector will hold meetings with the representatives of the Vietnamese companies,” highlighted the Iranian official.
Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to Hanoi, Saleh Adeebi, met with Vietnamese President Trần Đại Quang on Tuesday in Hanoi to initiate the proceedings for welcoming President Rouhani in Hanoi. Mr. Quang told the Iranian envoy that President Rouhani’s visit to Hanoi will mark the opening of a new chapter in the history of the bilateral ties between the two countries.
