Behrouz Nemati told Mehr News on Saturday that Parliament would hear report by General Inspectorate Organization; “the report is account of the salaries and benefits of around 13,000 government officials, along with their sum of low-interest loans received through mechanisms unheeded by the law; among this huge figure, only 900 officials had been found to be capable of indictment,” he added. He also said that the 90th Article Commission would read the report on Tuesday’s open session of the Parliament.
In past developments on Salary Bill Scandal, Nasser Seraj, Head of General Inspectorate Organization, had told reporters earlier in September that about $1.7mn of the money squandered in the scandal had been restored to the public treasury; “there is an unprecedented level of transparency in the Judiciary’s actions on inspecting the scandal and soon, the outcomes of the case will be publicized,” he told reporters.
Still earlier, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, the Judiciary Spokesperson had provided an opaque prospect of the Salary Bill Scandal case, implying that the Judiciary had only been tangentially engaged in the case, since the cabinet had promised to address the issue within the government.
