TEHRAN, Sep. 23 (MNA) – 'A Very Ordinary Citizen', a film by Iranian director Majid Barzegar, will be screened in the competition section of the Calgary International Film Festival.

17th Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) is an event held annually in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for twelve days in late September and early October.

The event will host Iran’s A Very Ordinary Citizen, which is co-produced by Iran and Czech Republic cinemas.

The movie tells the story of Mr. Safari, an 80-year-old retiree, who lives alone in Tehran and wants to visit his son living abroad. Mr. Safari becomes dangerously obsessed with a local female travel agent who is hired for help.
