TEHRAN, Sep. 21 (MNA) – The screening of Iranian feature film ‘Bodyguard’ has started on Tuesday in Syria for 10 days.

Four Syrian government ministers as well as Iranian cultural attaché in Syria attended the opening ceremony of screening Bodyguard in Syria.

Directed by Iranian acclaimed filmmaker Ebrahim Hatamikia, Bodyguard has gone on screen in Canada, Australia, the UK and Lebanon, so far.

Bodyguard which was first shown in the 34th Fajr International Film Festival, is the story of a middle aged man who protects high-ranking political figures. However, he gets into trouble when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest approaches the vice president.

Parviz Parastoui, Merila Zarei and Babak Hamidian star in the movie which won 4 awards in Fajr Film Festival: Best actor in a leading role, Best visual effects, Best Director and Best Picture.
