TEHRAN, Sep. 16 (MNA) – Salehi the Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization recounted the issues discussed in his Friday meeting with the World Nuclear Association's DG Agneta Rising.

“We invited her [Agneta Rising] to travel to Iran,” said the Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi about his meeting early on Friday with the World Nuclear Association's Director General Agneta Rising in London.

He also moted that he had proposed Agneta Rising, the Director General of the World Nuclear Association to form a technical committee on evaluating Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) comprehensively.

“She welcomed my proposal to form a committee on examining all aspects of SMRs, including technical, economic, and safety,” asserted the Iranian official, “there was another welcomed proposal to enjoin an Iranian university to the virtual network of international universities aimed at scientific cooperation on nuclear energy research which is run by the association.”

Salehi also highlighted that the two parts basically have agreed to have the association forming a committee on watching the implementation of the JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed between Iran and 5+1 on July 15, 2015 in Vienna) and discussing the technical issues of the agreement.

He justified that the committee can serve right the aims of Iran to prove to the world who is honest and committed and who is violating the agreement.
