Mr. Yuri Lazarchik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran presented President Rouhani with his credentials on Sunday where the latter emphasized on improvement of trade and economic relations through ‘planning to address potential barriers.’
“Iran and Belarus enjoy friendly relations and I believe both countries should increase diplomatic exchanges between Tehran and Minsk,” President Rouhani said. “A roadmap has been prepared by joint commission members and now both sides should work to implement the roadmap; we look forward to more extended ties with Minsk in the upcoming future.”
Mr. Lazarchik for his part believed that Iran and Belarus had based relations on mutual respect and trust; “After Iran’s success in hammering out the JCPOA with 5+1, Belarus has faced great opportunities for broadening ties with Tehran,” he briefly said.
