At the order of Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mojtaba Khosrowtaj was appointed as deputy industry minister and head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization.
Khosrowtaj will replace Valiollah Afkhami Rad who handed in his resignation to Industry Minister Nematzadeh a few days earlier.
Mojtaba Khosrowtaj had previously held several positions in the Industry Ministry including deputy minister for economic affairs and commerce. He had also served as speaker and head of information council of the Ministry though he was later replaced by Manouchehr Tahaiee.
At the present, he also acts as the government representative in the council of Iran and Tehran chambers of commerce, industries, mines and agriculture.
The newly-appointed head of TPO was also the managing director of Iran’s Export Promotion Center in 1997.
Meanwhile, Nematzadeh has designated Valiollah Afkhami Rad as his advisor.
