Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi, on Tuesday deemed these unprecedented military raids indicative of the aggressive nature of the occupying Israeli regime and its desperation in the face of the commendable resilience of the Palestinian people and resistance groups.
Ghasemi also recalled the forty-seventh anniversary of the tragic torching of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and denounced the continued desecration of this holy mosque through Israel’s excavations under and around the mosque. He further slammed Israel’s Judaization plan for Jerusalem al-Quds and called for an international measure to stop the regime’s ceaseless aggressions.
The Iranian diplomat deemed the approach by certain governments to normalize relations with the occupying Zionists to mean their ignoring of the Israeli regime’s repeated crimes against the oppressed Palestinian nation, which would in turn bolster the Zionists’ arrogance and impudence.
Ghasemi further called on the leaders of Muslim countries to remain vigilant and take more responsibility toward the Palestinian cause.
On Sunday, the Israeli military launched dozens of strikes and artillery fire on Gaza which injured several people and damaged the Palestinian cities’ infrastructure. Israel claimed the attacks were in response to a rocket fired from Gaza that landed in the Israeli community of Sderot.
