TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) – The national Iranian junior wrestling team will depart for France on Sun. August 28 to compete in 2016 Junior World Championship.

The Junior World Championship is scheduled to be held in the French city of Mâcon from August 30 to September 04. Accordingly, the tournament will be competed in freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women’s wrestling.

On the basis of the program’s schedule, weigh-in ceremony for Greco-Roman of 50-60-74-96 kg weight categories will be held on Monday August 29 with wrestlers meeting rivals on the following day.

The remaining weight divisions will have the weigh-in on Tuesday August 30 and hold contests on Wednesday. Young Iranian Greco-Roman athletes to take part in the international event are as follow:

50kg: Mahdi Mohsennejad

55kg: Meysam Delkhani

60kg: Mohammadreza Geraei

66kg: Mohammad Elyasi

74kg: Mehdi Ebrahimi

84kg: Arman Alizadeh

96kg: Amirhossein Hosseini

120kg: Amin Mirzazadeh
