TEHRAN, Aug. 21 (MNA) – 10 long and short films will be featured in XIX edition of Religion Today Film Festival, Italy to be held October 7-17.

Six short films, three of which are products of Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS), will participate in the festival. ‘Bridge’ by Reza Jamali of Ardebil branch, ‘Cemetery Men’ by Ali Mardomi of Urmia branch, and ‘Snowy Roofs’ by Haideh Moradi are short films by IYCS.

Other long films are ‘Lantouri’ by Reza Dormishian, ‘The Descendents’ by Yaser Talebi, ‘The Long Farewell’ by Farzad Motamen, ‘Checkmate’ by Mahdi Ravash, ‘Gas Pipe’ by Hossein Darabi, and ‘Men Are More Equal’ by Reza Gholami.

Religion Today Film Festival will feature films from the US, Palestine, Denmark, UAE, Albania, Lebanon, India, Iraq, Germany, France, Indonesia, Canada, and Poland. Religion Today Film Festival is realized by Associazione BiancoNero, in Trento, Italy.

Theme of the year of the festival is ‘Adam and Eve, the serpent, an apple split in two, paradise lost, and peace compromised;’ “The title “We all loved each other so much. Religions and gender issues”, paying homage to Scola, sums up the 2016 program, continuing a line of investigation which has always been at the heart of the Festival, namely the portrayal of women and the female condition in different religious contexts and the challenges of gender diversity,” wrote the official website of the festival.
