TEHRAN, Aug. 20 (MNA) – Senior Iranian MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Sat. improvement of bilateral ties with each of Persian Gulf littoral states will help regional security and meet the interests of all regional nations.

Head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission further welcomed the recent stance of Speaker of Kuwait's National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim on calling for the provision of necessary conditions for the improvement of Kuwait’s and other PGCC member states’ relations with Iran; “Al-Ghanim’s recent remarks are in accordance with the same policy that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been always following in the region,” he added.

Boroujerdi went on to add, “having the highest level of relations with our neighbors is among the permanent principles of Iran’s foreign policy.”

Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi also welcomed the positive approach of Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker, adding “Iran, as its unchangeable policy, is always after stability, peace, and progress in its neighboring countries.”

In an interview with Qatari daily of Al Sharq published on Thursday, Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker, Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, confirmed the desire of the State of Kuwait and all other Arab countries of the Persian Gulf to create a calm atmosphere and to enjoy neighborly and cooperation relations with Iran.
