“This victory in the field was achieved due to the courage and many sacrifices of the resilient fighters with various religious and ethnic background, and the victory in the political scene resulted from the unity among all freedom- and justice-seeking political groups who made a golden and glorious history for the Lebanese nation as well as the rest of the region,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a message addressed to Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Lebanon's victory against Israel in the 33-Day War.
He also facilitated Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah on the historic victory, adding “the heroic victory of Lebanon’s people against the armed forces of the Zionist regime and its allies during the 33-Day War is reminiscent of sacrifices, dedication, strength and determination of the Resistant fighters, as well as God’s apparent and non-apparent blessings to Lebanese people.”
He also deemed the victory as a matter of great pride for the Muslim and freedom-seeking nations in the world.
Zarif further hoped for continued success and prosperity for the government and nation of Lebanon.
