TEHRAN, Aug. 12 (MNA) – The fourth week of Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran's Professional soccer was held on Thursday with 7 games, to be wrapped up on Friday with the last fixture of the round.

Mashinsazi and Tractorsazi of Tabriz opened the fourth week of Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran's Professional soccer in Tabriz on Thursday at 6:00 pm local time. The derby was won by the popular Tractorsazi who scored two times at 20, and 90+2 minutes of the event. The red giants of Tabriz ended the week with 8 points to be in the course of the title after their Tehrani rivals.

Esteghlal who have started a bumpy season under their new manager, Alireza Mansourian, still have not enjoyed any win in the new season. The blue giants of Tehran lined up against Peykan, at 6:30 pm local time at the stadium of Peykan. Mansourian’s players conceded at the 40th minute of the event to leave the pitch for the half time with a defeat. All the efforts of the blues ended to an escape from their third defeat of the season and they left the satellite city of Shar-e-Quds with one point of a draw.

Zowbahan, the same as Esteghlal, escaped a 1-0 defeat and snatched a draw with the equalizer scored by their Honduran striker Jerry Bengtson. It would be the first victory of Gostaresh Foulad in the new season if they could have won the away match in Isfahan. This was the second draw of the green giants of Isfahan who have garnered a victory and a defeat so far.  

Saipa of Tehran hosted Padideh of Mashhad in Tehran where the two teams ended with the same result of the earlier events of the day, 1-1.

But, the red giants of Tehran, secured their place at the top of the table, with their 1-0 victory over Saba of Qom. Taromi scored for Persepolis at the 42nd minute of the event.

Esteghlal of Khuzestan, the defenders of the title, and Naft of Tehran reached a draw on the day of four draws and left the pitch with 2-2 result.

Naft of Abadan defeated the golden giants of Isfahan, Sepahan,1-0. Mohammad Shadkam scored at the 55th minute for the hosts. With the three points of the home victory, Abadanis are now at the third place of the league after Tractorsazi of Tabriz.
