TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (MNA) – The head of Parliament Nuclear Committee has criticized the SNSC committee of inaction in preparation of JCPOA implementation report of last six months.

Hojjatoleslam Mojtaba Zonnour, Principlist representative and the head of Parliament Nuclear Committee told reporters on Monday that attempts to bring together the Committee members to draft the report during Parliament two-week summer recess had faced difficulties, since “representatives have travelled to their constituencies.”

Zonnour however said that a report for the second 3-month period had been received from Foreign Ministry; “The committee works to prepare the report of the general situation in JCPOA implementation for 6-month period during this week’s Committee session; when the need arises, we will embark on field visits to the necessary centers and organizations to capture a full image of the JCPOA implementation, and will make necessary coordination with SNSC members and JCPOA Follow-up Committee, a body devised by the Foreign Ministry on JCPOA,” he detailed.

Zonnour criticized JCPOA Supervisory Committee of having failed to provide necessary ‘output’ of its performance and activities; “we have a bone to pick with the SNSC for the very reason,” he voiced his concerns.

The Proportional and Reciprocal Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on October 13 requires Foreign Ministry to provide a report of the implementation of JCPOA to Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission; so far, FM have presented the Commission two reports in mid-April and mid-July. The Commission is also required to provide a report every 6 months to Parliament open session.
