TEHRAN, Jul. 31 (MNA) – An Iranian inventor has designed and developed a device that can help with rehabilitation of people with disabilities.

Javad Alvani told Mehr News that his ‘Sport-therapy device’ has applications for people suffering from the Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis, adding the device can be used as a sporting good for all members of the family.

Noting that the device could be used both at home and at physiotherapy clinics, Alvani added, “the Sport-therapy device comprises a multifunctional bed that in addition to rehabilitational properties, can strengthen the muscles of patients, including hands, feet, lower back, and knees, as well as the circulatory and digestive systems.”

Alvani went on to add that the Sport-therapy device helps patients to use their hands and do exercises to strengthen their leg muscles.

“The device is not costly at all and can be adjusted to preferred measurements to make it suitable for all ages, while the foreign version has been designed for only a particular age,” he added.
