A military source announced that this was achieved after inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment upon terrorist organizations, and that now army units are directly overlooking al-Castelo Road.
The sources added that army units also cut off the road of al-Lairamon/al-Castelo/al-Jandol, and they are currently chasing down the fleeing terrorists in Aleppo's northern countryside.
SANA's correspondent in Aleppo said that the operations of army units and supporting forces resulted in establishing control over al-Castello resort and swimming pool, a number of factories, and al-Lairamon bus stop which are adjacent to the road in the direction al-Lairamon roundabout.
The correspondent said that after establishing control, army units established positions and fortifications on al-Castello road, thereby covering the entire road and tightening their grip on terrorist groups who lost their supply lines through the road.
On a relevant note, terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social networking pages the death of terrorists Yassin Najjar aka Khattab, whom they identified as a military leader in "Abu Amara battalions."
