TEHRAN, Jul. 13 (MNA) – Russian Deputy FM Sergei Ryabkov in a Tue. meeting with Iranian ambassador to Moscow confirmed that Iran has implemented its commitments under the nuclear deal that came into effect in January.

During the meeting in Moscow, Ryabkov once again expressed Russia’s readiness to continue its cooperation with Iran for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and other issues related to the implementation of the JCPOA, and highlighted the need for drawing an accurate picture of what the implementation entails in line with the continuation of cooperation.

According to the Public and Media Diplomacy Center of Iranian Embassy in Moscow, the Russian deputy FM confirmed Iran’s commitment to its obligations under the nuclear deal and stressed that Russia would support other parties to the nuclear negotiations in their implementation of their commitments.

The two sides also expressed satisfaction over the boost in Iran-Russia cooperation in the post-JCPOA era, and highlighted the significance of meetings and telephone conversations between the two countries’ officials for further expansion of bilateral relations.

Iranian ambassador Mehdi Sanaei deemed Russia’s role in cooperation with Iran for the execution of JCPOA-related commitments highly valuable and constructive.

He went on to add that the removal of many obstacles has improved Tehran-Moscow cooperation in various fields.

Moscow has played an active part during nuclear negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 countries, as well as the steps that led to the signing and implementation of the nuclear deal. A part of Iran’s enriched uranium has also been swapped with Russia’s uranium ore.
