The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has released the world ranking following the 2016 World Tour Korea Open as well as Laox Japan Open in Tokyo with Noshad Alamian having climbed to the 102nd ranking to outshine his brother Nima in national standings.
Meanwhile, other Iranian ping pong players fell in the latest ranking as Nima Alamian, Iran’s former top player, dropped three spots to land in the 114th place.
Afshin Norouzi moved from 198th to 216th and Midia Lotfollahinasab dropped from 314th to 333rd place.
In Women’s section, Iran’s Neda Shahsavari, who had dropped out of Japanese and Korean tournaments after conceding defeats against rivals, went down 16 spots to 270th position.
Mahjubeh Omrani, Maryam Samet and Elena Titarenko, as other female Iranian paddlers, have been placed in 329, 365 and 487 spots, respectively.
