TEHRAN, Jun. 18 (MNA) – Legal deputy of Iran’s Cyber Police has said the chief of FATA (Persian acronym) has participated in the 4th INTERPOL Eurasian Working Group Meeting on Cyber-crime for Heads of Units in South Korea.

The head of International and Legal Affairs of Cyber Police of Iran, Col. Hossein Ramezani told reporters on Saturday that the meeting had been held by the coordination of IGCI in several countries including Singapore, China and Turkey since 4 years ago and the present 4th meeting was held in South Korea for 3 days.

On the objectives of the meeting, Col. Hossein Remezani cited the following as the major focus of the meeting on cybercrime: sharing best practices in cybercrime investigations, digital forensic procedures and tools; building capacity in digital forensics and investigative techniques within the region; exchanging information on issues pertaining to Internet governance that may affect law enforcement during cybercrime investigations; and improving cooperation among INTERPOL member countries working in the area of cybercrime, and also with the public/private sectors where possible.

The chief of cyber police of Islamic Republic of Iran, Brig. Gen. Seyed Kamal Hadianfar is in South Korea to participate in this highly important meeting, which seeks to give access to the latest issues, challenges, information and developments in the area of cyber security and also developing and strengthening of international police cooperation with cyber police of participating countries.
