STOCKHOLM, Jun. 01 (MNA) – Following his trips to Poland and Finland, Iran’s FM Zarif arrived in the Swedish capital Tue. night to confer with senior Swedish officials on expansion of economic relations.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his accompanying business delegation arrived in the Swedish capital Stockholm late Tuesday night as the third leg of his tour to the Eastern Europe.

Zarif is slated to hold meetings with a number of Swedish officials including Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Parliament Speaker Urban Ahlin, and Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg.

The Iranian top diplomat and his accompanying delegation are also scheduled to meet with a number of Swedish companies and attend Iran-Sweden joint economic meeting, where the two sides will discuss various capacities for expanding mutual cooperation in economic and trade fields.

Zarif will also deliver a speech on the fight against terrorism and extremism, and sign a joint statement and attend a press conference with his Swedish counterpart.

Meeting with Iranian academic elites in Sweden is also another plan on his agenda.
