The ranking is provided by United Cycling International on monthly basis where scores of cyclists in different cycling events are calculated to provide a final ranking in the given continent and the world.
The ranking came out on Monday where Iranian cyclists display considerable upward mobility in Asian ranking, with Azerbaijan International Tour included in the score calculation. In Asian individual ranking, Iran’s Samad Pourseyedi came to claim the third place several places up from last month’s 21st ranking. Arvin Moazemi Goudarzi stood in 12th place, 13 places up from his last month’s 25th place. Ahad Kazemi also improved in place, coming down to 17 Asian ranking from poor 73rd place. Ghader Mizbani stands no less a place than 23rd place, thus showing 17 rankings up, and Mehdi Sohrabi sits in 28th place with only single ranking up.
In club ranking, Tabriz’s Shahrdari tops Asian clubs, with a UAE club, and Pishgaman, again from Tabriz, following them in second and third places. In national squad ranking, Iran still claims the first place in Asian continent with 1045 points. Improvements in Asian ranking are translated into a proportionate improvement in world ranking as well, where cyclists from Slovakia, Columbia, and Switzerland rule the roost. In world national team ranking, France, Belgium, and Spain top the ranking, with Iran standing in 28th place with moving several rankings up.
