“We look forward for the day to be ordered to liberate Quds,” said Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan, the Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces, in the ceremony to launch the military drill codenamed “Beit-ol-Muqaddas 28" in the Maranjab Desert in central Iran.
Kicked off early on Sunday, the drill is to commemorate the anniversary of the 34th anniversary of Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas (Jerusalem) which resulted into the Liberation of Khorramshahr from Saddam’s forces in 1982.
“Iran’s Leader, and Iranian nation expect us to be always ready, and we keep it at all conditions,” reiterated the general.
Pourdastan asserted that the high level of readiness has led to high self-esteem of his forces and he mentioned some examples of his forces’ advisory attendance in war with terrorists in Syria as a proof for his statement.
“The enemies are determined to deliver their blow to the Islamic Revolution,” warned the commander and commented on the reason that US is hesitating in attacking Iran.
“They can’t, that’s why the US does not launch a war on Iran, unless they had done it too much earlier, but the solidarity of Iranian armed forces is the major obstacle that has taken their courage,” highlighted the commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces.
“The ISIL, or other Takfiri terrorists are not any threat for Iran and the major enemies of Iran are the Israeli regime and the US. So we are ready for our main opponents,” Pourdastan asserted.
